Are you wondering whether your favorite stores are opened or closed on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, check out the list below.
How does the commercialization of the holidays make you feel?
You know we love getting deals and saving money, but where do you draw the line? When Black Friday was on the Friday after Thanksgiving we thrilled in getting up early to catch the sales. As retailers strategically moved their opening times earlier and earlier in the morning we cringed.
Then when the midnight opening started, we cringed some more, yet we were still attracted by some of the great prices. Now stores are open on Thanksgiving Day, and the start times are getting earlier and earlier. We will be sharing a list of stores open on Thanksgiving Day.

Black Friday Statistics
According to a RichRelevance Survey, that 64.5% of consumers “hate” or “dislike” it when stores open on the holiday.Yet in 2014, according to the National Retail Federation, 32% of Americans started their holiday shopping on Thanksgiving.
Now that Thanksgiving Day evening has become more commonplace – was it four or five years ago that this started — we continue to be lured by the sales, but are truly regretting that retailers make this option available.
Their employees are asked to work and leave family behind. Some are paid time-and-a-half or double-time, but is that compensation enough?

2019 Free Shipping Battles
Amazon announced that they will once again (just like 2018) offer free shipping with no minimum purchase on orders delivered through the holidays. They did this in response to shipping deals offered from Target and Walmart.
Amazon also said it would offer Prime Members free same day shipping on more than three million items.
Target announced that they are again offering free two-day holiday shipping on hundreds of thousands of items without requiring their normal $35 minimum purchase.
This offer is in effect from Friday, November 1, 2019 – Saturday, December 21, 2019, receive free standard or 2-day shipping.
Walmart is offering free NEXT-day shipping with a minimum purchase of $35. They also waived any “membership fees” to get this bonus. But they sweetened their deal by also including millions of items sold by their third-party merchants.
Cheers for Family Friendly on Black Friday:
We want to applaud the following companies who will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and encourage you (and us) to send a message to their leadership – we love when you value family over finances!
